Sam often identifies the day by what we're doing. One day, he declared it was "sock day" because I asked him to wear socks. Or it may be "play outside day" because I actually let him go out! Very silly, but I'm going to borrow his idea for today's post.
I need a good recipe for Black-Eyed Peas--TODAY. I'm making my menu for the week, and I'm trying to use up the food in the pantry. I happen to have a lot of dry black-eyed peas. Send me your recipes! Happy Black-Eyed Peas Day!
I love the shirt-dress you made for Maryn! And Lucy, so beautiful. She is growing up so fast. I think the growing up fast happens faster with each child. I love that you guys have a third and I hate it that people balked at that. Shameful. Psalm 127 says, "Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies at the gate." Blessed are the Geidls because they have three in their quiver!! :) May there be more if the Lord will's it!!
ReplyDeleteRyc: my surgery is April 29. I haven't been emotional yet. My weird delayed emotional response is going on. Hopefully I'll process it sometime later. Or maybe it will be different. I feel like my loss is also my gain because I feel so strongly that the Lord is going to provide a child/ren for us to adopt and my hope is there.
Love you!
