My favorite part of Mother's Day is its proximity to a precious little girl's birthday--my Maryn Elise. She is four years old today. I can hardly believe it. We had fruit pizza for breakfast, and her cake is in the oven for tonight. She has told me she is giving me her blankies tonight (forever) after she gets her presents. :) I really hope it isn't traumatic for her.
Sam "bought" her a Dora fishing pole. We bought her a Tinkerbell costume and some Tinkerbell shoes. I know she will be thrilled. Her party with our extended family is on Saturday. I love my big girl. Here's a look at the previous years:

Maryn, you are beautiful--ridiculously so. You are vivacious, nurturing, and dramatic. Your giggles and goofiness brighten our family. You are Sam's best friend, and Lucy's mentor. :) You love to sing and dance and all things girly--but you like to play with Sam's toys too. You know all your letters, and you're learning all the sounds and how to write them. You are very smart. You memorize movie lines better than your dad. You are a blessing to us, and we love you!
I didn't realize how much her and Lucy look in baby pictures!
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day to a GREAT mom!

ReplyDeleteWow...Dave done good! ;-) Glad you were treated to a sweet and special Mother's Day.
I cannot believe that she is 4 years old already. I guess somehow there is a frozen image in my mind of my friend's kids. That's why blogs are good! Happy Birthday Maryn!
ReplyDeleteSo precious! Just caught up with you! Congrats on the 5k, your hair, and your upcoming trip. I know Ihop will be a blessing. :) Will this be your first time in the prophecy room? I hope and pray that it is very encouraging and edifying.
ReplyDeleteQuestion on the no shampoo, are you doing no body wash too when you bathe or just doing one conversion at a time? Just wondering. I'm actually very interested in this because I've heard of people doing it but never anyone I know.
Love you!
