  1. hmmmmm, I think baking bread just smells like home, so I like to do that when I can.

I also like to find fun ways to play with the kids and use every day things to make lasting memories--building forts in the living room or having dance parties, etc. Memories are what makes a house a home for me.

  6. Hmm, I have been trying to let people just "live" here rather than every day trying to clear everything away as if nobody lived here that day. You know? It's like I used to think that shoes in the floor, and books on counters, and toys in the hall were "mess," but I'm trying to realize those are just life's little footprints all over our house!

  10. Hurray, happy 100th post! I like to make my apartment more homey by having friends and loved ones over and sharing delicious home cooking with them. I also like to put meaningful photos and art on the walls so it is cheerier.

  11. Ok I read your blog all the time but never comment. But for a give away made by you....Try and hold me back :). Dance party. That is how I make my house a home. Silly I know, but after a LONG day of homeschooling we all need to blow off a little steam. I turn on some classic 80's and/or techno and we all rock out. My kids are wonderful they don't worry about how they look they are free and that is what home is about freedom!
